This is a delicious guacamole dip for tortilla chips.  I like using avocados that are just a little soft ripe.  I find that they have more creamy flavor.  If they are too ripe they get bitter.

Ingredients
  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1/2 jalapeno pepper seeded and finely chopped
  • 1 Tbsp onion finely chopped
  • 1/2 lime (juice only)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • freshly ground pepper to taste
  • 1 Tbsp cilantro chopped
  • 1 clove garlic minced

  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1/2 jalapeno pepper seeded and finely chopped
  • 1 Tbsp onion finely chopped
  • 1/2 lime (juice only)
  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1 Tbsp cilantro chopped
  • 1 clove garlic minced
Instructions
  1. Cut avocados in half and discard seed.
  2. Squeeze juice of lime over the avocados to prevent browning.
  3. In a bowl, scoop avocado with spoon making sure lime juice gets in the bowl. Mash avocados with fork.
  4. Add jalapeño, onion, salt, garlic, ground pepper and cilantro. Mix well.
  5. Serve immediately with tortilla chips.
