This month’s cool weather makes me want to cozy up by the fire and relax. Whether drinking hot tea, coffee or hot cocoa, I make sure I take a break. Life is hectic so we all need a quiet time to pause. Here are my favorite things that I enjoy these days…….
Starbucks Holiday Blend Ground Coffee
One of the simple things I enjoy is making myself a cappuccino. To do that, first I make espresso and then whirl the milk in a milk frother. I love this Starbucks Holiday blend because it’s balanced, sweet with herbal and maple notes.
Green Tea
Because of its healthful benefits, green tea is my favorite of all the teas. Rich in flavonoids, green tea is good for heart health. I love that it’s available with different flavor combinations like toasted rice, jasmine, mangosteen, peach and orange. Sipping tea is a good way to relax and pause after a long day.
Libby’s Canned Pumpkin Puree
For those times when I bake, this pumpkin puree is the best for making pumpkin bread, cake, pie, cheesecake, or ice cream. It also makes for a good savory pasta sauce.
Lindt Chocolate Truffles
Who better makes good chocolate than the Swiss? These one-bite truffles are to die for. Dark or milk chocolate on the outside with soft luscious filling on the inside. New holiday flavors include gingerbread, peppermint white or dark chocolate, etc.
Lindt 70% Cocoa Dark Chocolate Bar
Love to bake with this dark chocolate bar. I also use it in making hot cocoa and it’s so yummy. Just heat up milk and stir a few squares of this chocolate until it melts. You can also shave it to decorate a cake, ice cream or truffles. Coarsely chop it in small chunks and add it to a cookie recipe.
