Easy Apple Tart

I like to use apples from my apple tree for apple pie, muffins, tarts, spiced apple cake, crisps and smoothies.  If I don’t have a lot of time to bake I make an easy apple tart using puff pastry.  It’s great with vanilla ice cream, or drizzle it with caramel sauce or just by itself.

Christmas Plant

Nothing says Christmas like the gorgeous poinsettia.  This year I got this beautiful red and white poinsettia for the front porch because its just spectacular!  The flowers are 10 inches wide.  So far, it’s thriving in the winter.  Did you know that they naturally grow in the forests of Central America and Mexico?

Solar Outdoor Lights

Found this solar outdoor lights from Amazon  for the driveway.  What’s also great about them is that they are motion sensitive.  They turn brighter when someone walks by them. Good to save energy and improve home security!

Guacamole Dip

This is a delicious guacamole dip for tortilla chips.  I like using avocados that are just a little soft ripe.  I find that they have more creamy flavor.  If they are too ripe they get bitter.
